You get to choose the books and your projects! I have given you a packet that describes an array of project options, but you cannot repeat a project idea. If you have a project idea that is not on the list, I encourage you to ask me about it because I am always looking for more ideas to add to the list! Who knows, maybe another student wants to try your idea with a book he or she is reading! Here are the logistics: There are two parts that are due each month at the same time: a write-up and a project of your choice.

Each month students in my class are required to complete a book report. Each month the book must be from a different genre. I will provide book lists to help students find possible selections for the assigned genre. Students should choose a book at their reading leve. Click the Genre for a suggested Book List. These are projects that your student should be able to, and is expected to complete on their own. An important element of the Language Arts curriculum is speaking and listening, and so students are expected to present their report to the class to receive full credit.
