To get a 4 on the essay, you should use 2 or 3 sentences to analyze the technique. As you write your essay, you should mostly focus on the main argument of the passage, the argumentative techniques used by the authors, and evidence to show the techniques in action. If you use a well-constructed four or five paragraph structure, you can satisfy all of the above points.
Students must use proper grammar when writing their essays. They should also prioritize using advanced vocabulary when possible. Incorporate a wide variety of sentence structures by varying shorter sentences and longer sentences.
