To those with half a working eye, ear and mind it would not be surprising to say that the narrative that surrounds Hindus and Hinduism is filled with a malice that is systematic and relentless.
The 'Movement' as termed by Vamsee, is filled with online and common Hindus who have not the training or exposure to writing of their viewpoints with the flourish or vocabulary that the Left or the 'Establishment' can. And as an academic Vamsee with an insider's viewpoint, has a specific view on how common Hindus can go about with telling their own story. I especially like the place where Vamsee lists quotes from three different authors who write online and offline and asks us to guess the authors.
When the reveal comes, and I shall not put a spoiler here, it is a testament to the impact of Twitter and the growing influence of online common Hindu voices to be heard. Highly recommend this quick, absorbable and followable read. I would insist that every Hindu, whether writing or not, or if only to articulate his views more systematically, will find this a invaluable read.
Prof Juluri brilliantly explains to the reader about how mass media and pop culture portrayals are important in narrative building and settinf thw discourse. He points out the flaws and shortcomings in disseminating ideas from the Hindu side that most of the time result in them being contained in the corner away from the actual debate.
This book must be read by everyone who wants to challenge the existing narrative, breach the establishment and also for those who want actively pursue writing not just as a profession but simply to disseminate their ideas in this intellectual battlefield.
Hinduism—its wisdom, practices and ethos—is reeling under the most severe attack it has ever been. It is one thing to be criticized for being evil, quite another to be chastised for being good. In this particular instance, the concept is an abomination—and the mark of such rank stupidity as to border on evil. This book opened my eyes to many things.

Vamsee Juluri was able to draw out the discipline required in finishing this small book from me naturally. After completing this book, I realise that when readers like me get distracted by the need to check social media apps, for example and are unable to complete the books which they are fascinated about , they should perhaps distract themselves into writing.
It's therapy, yes. And while writing, if you are distracted by your thoughts and feelings angry, irritated then let go and come back to it at a better moment, with gratitude. We live in a topsy-turvy world, where the mild-mannered and egalitarian Hindu is being cast as an oppressor -- by people who espouse dark, authoritarian, monopolist, and supremacist ideologies, and by those who have cleverly appropriated the "liberal, secular and progressive" label and have squatted on the "moral high ground" dumping on their chosen targets: in this case, the Hindus.
This is the power of the "establishment" that has manufactured and fine-honed its discourse, and the only way that this discourse can be countered is to understand the dynamics in place, learn to use language wisely and thoughtfully, refuse to rush to embrace labels and the baggage that come with them, and inform and persuade those in the middle to pay heed to their own existential condition and to their sense of what is fair, just, kind, and honorable.
Juluri writes with flair, with insight, and a deep concern for those Hindus flailing to express themselves well. It is not about writing "correctly" as much as communicating with knowledge and with skill.
