Copy-pasting some body else work is very common. Though, very few people actually give the credit link or mention about the source. Specially, in Blogging people copy each other content and increase plagiarism. Though in WordPress, we can easily disable this by using disable right click WordPress plugin.

This appears to be a bug Google Chrome's team will hopefully resolve. I'm having a similar problem. I've tried just restarting the computer with no change. It only seems to be a problem with some text clips and not others.
What could be causing the hiccup? Here is an example that will hopefully help debug the issue. When in open office calc, copying a cell html and pasting into chrome gmail does nothing. Copying the contents of a cell text and pasting works just fine. It seems as though chrome does not like the way open office creates its html when you copy something. I'm having the same problem. I found that as a stop-gap, you can copy from Open Office into notepad and then copy from there into chrome.
Please advise when this is sorted out! Same here. Chrome and OOo don't like each other. I am having the same problem of copying text from OO, but dragging the text seems to have worked! This is an important feature that many use regularly- Chrome team needs to resolve this problem as its a bit of a pain having to copy text into word pad or now dragging text to an email. I am having the same problem of not being able to copy and paste from OO to google docs when using Chrome, using the mouse right click menu or ctrl-c, ctrl-v.
If I switch to Firefox it works fine. I too had an issue like this and was able to resolve it by clicking the "plain text" option on the left. This seems to be an issue with the formating code OO, so as long as you dont care about that and just need to email your text this will work fine. It is just a plain text field.
I'm trying to copy and paste from Open Office writer into Facebook. I'm hoping the issues I was having with Firefox are gone so I can go back to using it, since Chrome doesn't seem to have a fix for this problem Yes No.

Usually, copy and paste is a very simple action that can be performed by anyone, but now and then, your browser will not allow you to copy and paste text from certain websites. This can get pretty frustrating, especially if you need large chunks of text from a site for research purposes.
