Some of the articles are very interesting, funny, and thought provoking. One person found this helpful. My AP English teacher uses this book as textbook. This is truly beneficial for improving both reading and writing ability. Excellent essays for my high school student's junior Literature course assignments. The book is very good and fairly coct in size, although a little thick - it is very small print so not that easy to read - was shipped out promptly and in very good condition as advertised.
Used this book for English We needed the 4th version but I got the 2nd. Well it had all the stories I needed and was dirt cheap because it was an older model. I'm left happy with my purchase. Book was bought for high school student. Glad to be able to find the book. Not exactly sure why instructor picked this edition, unfortunately it was a lot more expensive than similar later editions. The book was in great condition and I love the writings in them. I ordered it for a class but I will continue to review the book because of its content.
The book was in great condition and it was delivered as promised. Very happy with my purchase. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. This put me to sleep. But yet again the only reason I bought this was because I had to for English. But hey I don't know maybe you enjoy reading a collection of 50 old mediocre essays excluding Declaration of Independence, I like that one.
If you enjoy that kind of thing this is the book for you. If you don't well then it is a good way to fall asleep Anyway the book was in good condition as the description says, it just gets 1 star for it dullness. Hope this helps.
