I searched high and low for this in stores but never, ever found it. I caved and ordered from Amazon. As for the price, I was a little shocked to see how much one composition book can cost compared to the wide ruled you find in stores. What surprises me the most is that this is a mandatory school supply item and it simply cant be found ANYWHERE in stores, can anyone tell me why that is?

As other reviewers have stated, there is no left or right margin, something I do believe these notebooks should have so children can learn about proper letter placements Our daughter's first grade teacher suggested we pick up a set of this paper for additional handwriting practice at home. This is a great ream of lined paper with a variety of line sizes that grows with your young writer. It is great that it is set up vertically portrait instead of horizontally landscape like most of the early writing paper that you find.

It is oriented tall just like normal notebook paper which makes it easy to insert in pocket folders and makes for a seamless transition to normal writing paper. Your child can write on large lines and graduate to smaller lines for more precise letters.

It is a full ream of sheets that is a great value. It is also double sided with lines on both sides which basically gives you usable pages. Highly recommended for your beginning Exactly what our child is using in kindergarten and is a huge help with practicing. We use it extensively for our kids, also have them write sentences with the sheets. The paper is a little on the thin side; you can see through it and little ones who are heavy on the lead lol cannot erase that easily without putting holes in paper.

But, that's where I become super Mom. She writes in it everyday and draws a picture to correspond. Worth it, especially if you can get free shipping like we did! Good amount of paper for the price. She's in 3rd grade, but behind in her writing capabilities, so this paper is great for her. It's sturdy, white, and easy to write on. Good quality. I was so glad to find it in bulk on Amazon for an amazing price. I homeschool and my son will be starting Kindergarten next year, so he'll use it too. I am currently home schooling my first grader and though my daughter wanted to join us she was often left out and frustrated with our challenging curriculum.

I bought this book for my 4 year old daughter so she could do "school" too and it's a perfect combination of fun school work that will teach her the basics before she reaches kindergarten.

We are enjoying it each day together! I have been purchasing similar paper, sold in pads. I am simply amazed. The paper is the same quality. The only difference is that it is not in a pad, it is loose sheets wrapped in plastic.

Such an amazing value. I am so glad to have found this. If you are looking for lined paper, you can't go wrong with this. It is the same paper I used in school as a kid. It is not super bright white but more of the off white. Love it.
